Rodin Statues Up Close
Taking close up shots of statues is a little favorite photo hobby of mine. Walking around Stanford campus today, I came upon the Rodin collection at the Stanford Art Museum and took closeup shots of The Gates of Hell. Looking at smaller elements in an overall work of art takes on a life all its own, each character living in its own little world.
It was also a chance for me to take my new Canon EF 28mm f/1.8 USM lens for a spin.
If you haven’t had a chance to see it, it’s well worth the visit, both the collection and the museum inside.
