I a news junkie and I share articles I’ve read on various platforms around the web, be it this blog, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and so on. Now Flipboard has a new feature out that allows users to create their own magazines of articles they’ve favorited on the app. Pretty slick feature, I must say.

Here’s an amazing video that shows just how much info your telephone company knows about your whereabouts and it’s saving of that info. A politician in Germany obtained his records and compiled it into this video showing his locations over the period of several months.
Green party politician Malte Spitz sued to have German telecoms giant Deutsche Telekom hand over six months of his phone data that he then made available to ZEIT ONLINE. We combined this geolocation data with information relating to his life as a politician, such as Twitter feeds, blog entries and websites, all of which is all freely available on the internet.
I love looking at ads from by gone days, especially the 1970s. But combine that with a gigantic machine that creates ASCII art, even better.
This is an amazing wall display used to promote the TNT show “Perception”. I think this would add a whole new dimension to airline arrival/flight display boards at airports.

I love looking back in hindsight at supposed “peaks” into the future and seeing how right or wrong they would turn out to be. Not everyone could be Arthur C. Clark in terms of accuracy. Here’s a movie from Bell Labs in 1961 and the technology they were working on at the time.
They say this could be the future of user interface. Either way, it’s pretty darn cool.
